Naturguiden

Kayak tours in Sweden

Join us on our Kayak tours in the beautiful archipelago of the Baltic sea. Between islands and skerrys, out in the open sea and in seduced caves. There are thousands of islands, most of them unsettled. The Swedish "allemansrätt" gives us the right to camp on any one of them. At lunchtime we make a break on some island, cook a meal, maybe take a swim. In the evenings we camp on another island, make dinner over open fire and sleep in tents.

We really love to spend time in the archipelago. Join us on our weekend tours or book your own private tour

Kayak tours with Naturguiden

Naturguiden believes in small groups led by local guides. Most of our tours take place in the St Anna or Gryt archipelago where we find our way between the islands and archipelagos. We know the best places for a break or overnight camp. If you have not kayaked before, we start with an introduction where you learn the basics. Normally we provide kayaks for one person, K1. But if you prefer a kayak for two people, a K2, that can be arranged.
We pick you up at Linköping, at the airport if you arrive by plane from Amsterdam. Or at the railway station in Norrköping or Linköping if you arrive by train. From here we drive on to the coast.

A day in the archipelago

Our kayak tours are as much about outdoor life as they are about kayaking. We spend all day in the beautiful Swedish archipelago. We cook breakfast together on the cliff that slopes down to the sea. We paddle in between islands or out to the open sea. Maybe we try to catch some fish while we cook lunch. The day almost always ends with a swim in the sea before we cook dinner over an open fire.

Open or private kayak tour

Naturguiden have kayak tours for everyone. We are a maximum of eight persons in a group. Naturguiden open tours are open to everyone and you are most welcome to follow.  However, if you are a family or a couple of friends, you may prefer a private kayak tour. You can then choose any date, and also where along the Swedish coast we will paddle. It is also possible to organise a kayak trip where we stay indoors instead of in tent.

  • How to get here

Our open sea kayaking tours are held in the St Anna and Gryt archipelago. Getting here by public transport is not easy and takes some time. We therefore organise pick-up in Norrköping or Linköping. Linköping Airport has direct flights to Amsterdam. There are good train connections to both Linköping and Norrköping, both from Stockholm and Copenhagen but also with night trains from Hamburg. We adapt the pick-up time to your arrival.

If you have your own car, you can of course meet us at our starting point.

  • Arrival and Departure

    Arrival

We will pick you up in the morning. If you arrive in the afternoon or evening, it's better if you travel the day before and we pick you up at your accommodation. We don't have an exakt time and place for pick-up. It's depends on when and how you and the other participants arrive.

If you get delayed. Let us know as soon as possible. Make sure you have our phone number +46 70 53 53 630 .

    Departure

We will drop you off on Sunday evening. In Norrköping or Linköping, or elsewhere if the detour is resonable. We'll make sure that to manage to catch a train or plane.

    Private groups

You choose your own time and place of arrival and departure.
